BuildCalculatorsHQ provides construction and home-improvement calculators and guides at buildcalculatorshq.com. This policy explains the information handled when you visit the site or contact us. For privacy questions, email hello@buildcalculatorshq.com. We are based in Carlsbad, California, USA.

Calculator inputs and contact messages

Calculator arithmetic runs in your browser. Our calculator-use analytics events identify the calculator and actions such as starting a calculation or displaying a result; they do not include the numbers you enter. If you copy, print or share results, the destination or service you choose handles that information.

The contact page prepares an email in your browser. It does not submit your message to our server, and it does not save your draft after you leave or reload the page. Choosing “Open email app” passes the subject and message to your email application; choosing “Copy email details” puts them on your clipboard. You must send the email yourself. When you do, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. Email providers process those communications.

We use correspondence to answer questions, investigate errors and handle business inquiries. Please send only information relevant to your request.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and improve the site. It can collect page addresses, referral sources, approximate location, browser and device information, session activity and interactions. Google Analytics can use cookies, including a client identifier, to distinguish visits. Our custom calculator events record the calculator identifier and interaction type rather than entered quantities or contact-message text.

Your analytics choice

You can turn off this site’s Google Analytics in this browser or turn it back on. The page reloads to apply your choice. Turning analytics off prevents our analytics tag and custom events from loading on subsequent pages in this browser. It does not erase information already collected or remove existing cookies.

The off choice is stored locally in your browser under “bchq-analytics-off”. If you clear site storage, use another browser or device, or block local storage, the preference may not persist. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies. These choices do not disable hosting security logs or services you visit through external links.

Hosting and external content

Hostinger hosts this website. Hosting and security services may process technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, time and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. Some fonts and images are loaded from Google Fonts and external image hosts; your browser contacts those providers to display the content.

Some pages offer YouTube tutorials and load thumbnail images from YouTube’s image service. Playing a tutorial loads a YouTube privacy-enhanced embed and contacts YouTube. Advertising and affiliate links

As of this policy’s effective date, we have not enabled display advertising or affiliate commission links on this site. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and provide the relevant disclosures and privacy controls before enabling those features.

Information is handled by service providers where needed to host the website, provide analytics or deliver email. Their processing may occur in countries other than your own. We may also need to disclose information to comply with applicable legal obligations or protect the site against misuse.
